Reviews about Fortinos
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Went there for a quick lunch; was pleasently surprised of the huge selection of fresh prepared food from soups, salad, sandwiches and Sushi for either take out or eat in their secluded area to sit down and eat.by Ilse KuhlJune 13, 2017
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Generally I like this store, although frequently items on sale are not in stock which can make it a wasted trip, and items in a bargain bin come up as regular price at the till. However, they have one huge, recurring problem: charging for bags. Sometimes you say you do not want a bag and the cashier gives you one anyway and charges you for it. Sometimes you say you do not want a bag, and do not get a bag, and the cashier charges you for it anyway. This is not something that has happened once. It happens frequently. To some, it is only 5 cents, but it is the principle of being charged extra fees for nothing. When I get home and see this fee tacked on to the end of my bill, I get angry. Then I switch to Longos exclusively for a while. I can imagine with thousands of transactions these 5 cent charges begin to add up to a nice profit. They put a marketing spin on the fee to be "environmentally friendly" but I prefer the approach of nearby Longos, letting you choose to bring your own bag or, if you have forgotten it or bought too much, giving you a nice, thick plastic bag you actually can re-use later. If you shop at Fortinos, unfortunately you have to watch carefully for these frequent, extra 5 cent charges tacked onto the bottom of your bill. I don't know why this constantly happens, but it does, and despite frequent complaints, it is still not fixed. I don't like making donations to large corporations, no matter how small.by Suzanne CurrieFebruary 22, 2017
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Best grocery store I've ever seen. Mostly consistent across all locations from available products and brands to product layout/location. Everything is always neat, in order, and properly labelled and priced. Staff are always friendly and happy to help. The bakery gives my son (a toddler) a cookie to keep him occupied as we shop every time we go. The produce is the freshest and lasts the longest once home compared to any grocery store I've tried. Massive amount of prepared foods that are reasonably priced and for the morning part rival any dish you would get at a decent restaurant. As a PC store the points system is decently rewarding as well. In the end may cost MARGINALLY more than some of the bargain oriented places but you more than get what you pay for. I'm not sure what I'd do if I ever moved to a city without a Fortinos!!by Josh WolfeJanuary 07, 2017
