  for those commenting on the HIV articles that have been going around on this dental office. The dental office has been back up and running and NO PATIENTS were tested positive for any disease. It was just a precaution because their sterilization units and procedures were not up to government standard. and I feel bad that the dentist's reputation is now ruined, and it technically isnt his fault. Dentists rely on THEIR STAFF (mostly the assitant) to take care of sterilization and spore tests, and to make sure things are kept sanitized and disinfected between patients. The dentist trains them, and since assistants have a TON of infection control protocols included in the schooling he TRUSTS them to keep thinggs up to date and to be honest and deligent in the procedures that are very very important. SO this being said, this infection control mishap is the fault of his uneducated, incompetant staff members who were too lazy to do their jobs properly. Not the fault of the dentist, dentist work on the mouth its up to the assistants and hygienists to take care of the office, thats what they are paid to do.
